Why You Must Always Follow The Attention

There’s a quote in business that we’ve all heard before that states people should “follow the money.”

This means you should create products and services that have PROVEN interest from consumers. In other words, you create what people are already buying.

I agree with this principle, so much so that I put my own take on it when it comes to platforms business owners use, which is:

“Follow the attention.”

Here are some interesting statistics taken across 8 markets surveyed globally:

51% of people say that messaging has replaced other forms of communication…

80% of adults message daily…

67% of people say that their messaging has increased over the past two years…

Facebook recently reported that over 10 billion messages are being sent between consumers and businesses every single month…

Are you listening?

Private messaging increasing, chat marketing, messenger marketing, chatbots

More importantly, are you talking back?

If your customers are not paying attention to a certain marketing medium, it’s often best to keep up with what they are paying attention to.

If you look at the picture, you see that email open rates are declining, and the trend will only get lower.

On the other hand, Messenger Chatbots have some of the highest open rates ever.

In short: people are paying attention to them!

I’m not saying that you should quit doing email marketing by any means.

However, I am “nudging” you to follow what people are paying attention to, because I know how beneficial this can be to your business.

If your customer does not interact with you at all (AKA never open your emails), they will never buy from you.

If you get them to at least pay attention to what you’re saying, the game changes, and it leads to profitable opportunities.

If you don’t yet have a Messenger Chatbot, you’re missing out on one of the most engaging platforms currently available.
